who we are

We are the Street Machines Corp., a non-profit foundation with federal tax exemption under section 501 (c) (3). We have communities in both Idaho and Washington. We love vehicles of all kinds. We don’t have any fees, rules, politics, meetings or officers. We just have fun with our street machines and help animals in need. We welcome you to join us in our mission to make a difference for our furry friends. We are so proud and thankful for what this community has achieved so far.

as a member how can I be more involved

We survive on the generosity of patrons that believe in our mission. This generosity comes in many forms from things like volunteering at events, buying merchandise, donations and more. Volunteers help with registrations at shows, parking assistance, judging, setup/cleanup, flyer posting etc. Donations help cover the costs of city park fees, printing costs, cost of fundraising merchandise, animal adoptions, shelter food and so much more.

The Street Machines is a group of car enthusiasts that love to show off our vehicles and support good causes. We organize, sponsor and participate in various events throughout the year. Our primary focus has been to collaborate with businesses and help them raise funds for their causes. Our emphasis has been primarily animal welfare in Idaho and Washington. We bring our street machines to your event to attract more visitors and help make a difference.

The 208/509 Street Machine groups have members young and old with Exotics, Modern muscle, Imports, Classics of all kinds, 4X4’s you name it. If you love it and are proud of it that is all that matters. The designation of Street Machine does not come with a criteria. Whatever your reason or situation might be, if you love animals and street machines we welcome you.

How Many Dogs or Cats Can You Own in Idaho?

The maximum number of dogs or cats you can own in the State of Idaho depends on where in Idaho that you live. The laws that regulate pet ownership vary heavily by city or county.the municipality wherein you reside, as the laws regulating pet ownership vary greatly by city or county. Here are some of the larger metropolitan cities and their laws.

Boise

In the City of Boise, the county seat of Ada County, Idaho, residents must obtain a noncommercial kennel license from the City Clerk in order to own a maximum of 10 domestic pets. This means you can either have 5 dogs and 5 cats or any combination of both animals in the City of Boise. Cats and dogs must not be found at large in the city.

Dog owners are required by law to immediately remove and disposed of in a sanitary manner any feces deposited by their dog on any public or private property. All dogs over the age of sixteen weeks living within Boise City must be licensed and wear a collar that displays the license tag.

Furthermore, all dogs must be on a leash while in public places and must be controlled by a responsible person.

Idaho Falls

The City of Idaho Falls allows no more than two dogs per dwelling. However, pet owners may obtain an “Annual Additional Dog Permit” from the City Clerk to own three more dogs in addition to the two dogs allowed, bringing the total number of dogs allowed in Idaho Falls to 5. The City does not place a limit on the number of cats residents can have. However, pet owners must comply with the City’s nuisance laws.

All dogs residing in Idaho Falls must be licensed and have the license tag affixed to their neck. Furthermore, it is unlawful in Idaho Falls for any pet owner to keep a dog that, by loud and prolonged barking or howling, disturbs the peace of nearby neighbors. Cat owners in Idaho Falls must prevent their felines from creating a nuisance by howling in a habitual, consistent, or persistent manner that repeatedly disturbs the peace of nearby neighbors.

Nampa

For starters, all dogs living within the city limits of Nampa are required by law to have a Nampa City Dog License. The City Code states that it shall be unlawful for any person to keep more than two dogs over six months of age in their house within the City of Nampa.

The Code, however, does not state the number of cats residents are allowed to have in addition to the two dogs. No dog shall be allowed to create a nuisance with habitual and consistent barking in the City of Nampa. Nampa Animal Control is in charge of fixing the problem of nuisance noise between neighbors.

In 2022 over 600 dogs and cats were killed in animal shelters across Idaho.

june 6th 2026 - Annual 208 cruising for a cause, saving paws @ the ballpark (Pre reg $15 day of $20)

9 – 1 PM – Join us at the ballpark for a car show and more. All your favorite baseball food, beer & wine. Lots of pet supplies for sale, Street Machines attire, awards, great music, auctions, 50/50 raffle, animal vendors & sponsors. This is a pet friendly event. JUL 11th 2026 - Hot rod movie nights @ the hawks ball park ($5 per family)

8:30 PM – Admission is only $2.08 or $5.00 per family. Proceeds go to protecting and caring for Treasure Valley Animals.
Join us for an unforgettable family-friendly summer movie night under the stars at the ballpark! Bring your blankets and enjoy the show. Proceeds go to Animal Welfare and will benefit animals in our great Treasure Valley.
